The suite of six courses developed in this project is designed to support the workforce needs of the US nuclear power industry for Radiation Protection Technicians. These core courses are designed as web-delivered resources for instructors at a school adopting the curriculum, in partnership with a nuclear industry partner. The curriculum, as developed, is benchmarked against industry training standards, including INPO ACAD and US DOE training guidelines. Partnership with a nuclear utility in a school’s geographic area is an important feature in successful adoption of the RPT curriculum to ensure relevance of employer workforce development needs, and to strengthen the understanding of the regulatory significance of concepts for instructional personnel and students.
